Sprig

Privacy at Sprig

Sprig keeps the information needed to run a student’s account, calendars, reminders, and reviews. It is not a public view of a student’s schoolwork.

What Sprig keeps

Sprig keeps account information, Canvas calendar-feed credentials, assignment calendar data, self-reported completion and growth, notification settings, and review records. A review may include submitted text, code, documents, or normalized images; the comments, their excerpts, and follow-up threads are kept so the student can use that review.

Support reports can include student-written text and optional images. Analytics uses coarse product metadata rather than assignment titles, course names, calendar URLs, or submission content. Operational records are likewise limited to approved operational metadata.

What leaves Sprig

The reviewer is the only feature that sends student work outside Sprig. It sends the submitted draft and that review’s own follow-up conversation to Anthropic to generate feedback. It does not send the account email, Canvas calendar URL, analytics, or support reports to Anthropic.

When content is removed

Review content is removed after 14 quiet days once the work is over: no new draft or follow-up question for 14 days, and never before a linked assignment’s due date. Marking a linked assignment done starts its own 14-day clock; the applicable clock that finishes first removes the content. A content-free review record remains so the student can see that it expired.

Support-report text and images are removed 30 days after submission. A content-free structured record may remain for trend counts. Routine operational records expire within 30 days.

Your choices

A student can remove a connected calendar or delete their account from the account menu. Account deletion removes Sprig’s account data; it does not alter the student’s Canvas account, assignments, submissions, or calendar.
